Drake’s new album Honestly, Nevermind has been divisive for his followers—but he clearly still has a fan in J. Cole.

The Dreamville leader took to Instagram following the project’s arrival to share a screenshot indicating he was listening to “Liability,” writing, “Man. This album is phenomenal. Point blank.”

Cole also gave the album some free press in a fan’s Instagram post.

“so I went to get some food after work, my card declined, next thing I know j cole pays for it 💀 wooooow,” an IG user captioned a selfie of himself and Cole, with the latter holding up a phone showing “Overdrive” playing.

Not everyone has praised Honestly, Nevermind, which borrows from a wide swath of dance music genres, including house, Baltimore club, and Jersey club. And Drizzy seemingly responded to the negative reactions. “It’s all good if you don’t get it yet,” he said in a clip at what looked to be his album release party. “That’s what we do! We wait for you to catch up. We in here, though, we caught up already. On to the next. My goodness!”

Drake and Cole have both been giving each other their flowers this month. At the top of June, Drake was seen in Toronto cheering on Cole at his basketball team the Scarborough Shooting Stars’ game against the Hamilton Honey Badgers. In photos and videos, Drake was courtside wearing Cole’s jersey. The Off-Season rapper played his first game with the Shooting Stars in May.
