Ice Spice partnered with BronxWorks for a special Girls Empowerment Day event.

The 24-year-old Bronx native paid a visit to the non-profit’s middle school students, who spoke and took photos with Ice before she joined them in playing volleyball. Ice Spice played the sport in college and grew up just a few minutes from BronxWorks.

BronxWorks is a nonprofit organization that helps Bronx residents improve their economic and social well-being through a variety of programs and services.

A photo from the event shows the students crowding around Ice.

This is just the beginning of Ice’s partnership with the organization, which aims to “make a lasting impact and empower the next generation of leaders in the Bronx,” per a press release. Together, the Y2K! rapper and BronxWorks will uplift the borough’s young women, provide resources, and create opportunities for the community.
