Gunna Addresses Claims of Being Involved in 'Pushing Peth' Scam

Gunna has denied being involved in a cryptocurrency scam, saying that whoever shared the information on his Twitter account actually hacked him.

While Gunna has recently gotten into the cryptocurrency game by way of NFTs, he’s now being accused of a crypto scam and has since responded.

“To my followers and fans! I didn’t know anything about this ‘pushin peth’ Scam,” he tweeted on Monday. “Someone hacked my Twitter and I immediately deleted the tweet! I would never co-sign any fraud or scams privately or publicly! And I’m extremely sorry to anyone who was scammed!

On Jan. 31, Gunna’s account tweeted about the launch of PushingPETH, allegedly his own cryptocurrency.

“Ay @pushinpeth making a crypto metaverse for us!” he wrote. “@shanemooncharts backing the project, I know this is gonna fly. IM TAKING THIS TO THE MOON JOIN THE TELEGRAM HERE.”

The tweet and the account for PushinPETH have both been taken down. It’s unknown who exactly @shanemooncharts is, though his Twitter account is still live.

The PushinPETH website details the cryptocurrency as one “that works for you, helps you increase your holdings over time. We offer complete transparency and the latest security to all our holders. Additionally, the liquidity is locked on unicrypt and the ownership of the contract is renounced.”

The name for PushinPETH is, of course, inspired by Gunna’s hit song-turned-slogan “Pushing P” with Young Thug from DS4EVER. Gunna’s album recently opened at No. 1, beating The Weeknd’s Dawn FM.
