The Weeknd was spotted enjoying himself with reported new belle Simi Khadra during his birthday weekend.
The pair were seen in Las Vegas on Saturday night, where Abel Tesfaye was celebrating his 32nd birthday at Delilah, TMZ reports. At around 2 a.m., the Weeknd and Simi were captured making out. Complex has reached out to a rep for comment.
Simi is an American-Palestinian DJ and one half of the twin duo Simi and Haze. It’s been rumored that she and Abel are seeing each other, with this new PDA seemingly confirming it. According to the outlet, Simi documented the trip on her Instagram Stories. Swedish House Mafia and Kaytranada DJ’d the event, which Drake also attended.
Tesfaye and Simi were seen out together earlier this month. Cosmopolitan reported that on Feb. 3 the pair went out to dinner in Los Angeles at Sunset Tower. In January the two were spotted leaving the singer’s release party together in the city, which initially sparked some buzz.
However, the Weeknd was linked to Angelina Jolie last year, when they grabbed some food together. Fans thought they were legitimately dating when his Dawn FM song “Here We Go…Again” included the line “my new girl, she a movie star.”
Earlier this month, a source told E! News that Simi and the “Blinding Lights” singer “are not dating” and are platonic, though that’s seemed to have changed. “They’ve been friends for years,” the source added.
At one point, Simi and Haze—whose older brother is also Fai Khadra, a friend of the Kardashians—were close with the Weeknd’s ex Bella Hadid. Those two broke up in 2019 following a four-year on-and-off romance.
