Fivio Foreign Says Bobby Shmurda Will Release Mixtape From Prison: 'Two Weeks He Got Some Fire'

Shmurda was sentenced on weapons and conspiracy charges back in 2016.

We might hear new music from Bobby Shmurda soon.

In a new interview with Ebro Darden, Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign said that he recently spoke with incarcerated GS9 member Rowdy Rebel. According to Foreign, Rebel shared GS9’s plans for 2020, which includes a new mixtape from Shmurda.

“I spoke to Rebel on the phone,” Foreign said. “He said two weeks he got some fire coming out. He goin' crazy. And he's dropping a mixtape.”

When Ebro asked Foreign to clarify who’s dropping the project, Foreign verified that it’s Shmurda, who’s also still incarcerated. “Bobby! He droppin' a mixtape from jail,” Foreign revealed. “Facts, nobody knew that.”

Shmurda and Rebel have been in jail since they were arrested in New York on various weapons charges in 2016. Shmurda was sentenced to seven years in prison for conspiracy in the fourth degree, as well as criminal possession of a weapon. In 2018, Shmurda’s mother, Leslie Pollard, took to Instagram where she provided an update on her son’s situation in jail.

“Great visit with my stinky.....the countdown continues 22 months to go,” Pollard wrote. “Chewy is in great spirits he sends his Love and he can not wait to be back to work.”
