Adele recently collapsed backstage following her Las Vegas residency due to her sciatica, according to People. She told fans that she fell down and couldn’t get back up due to her spinal condition.

“They picked my whole body up off the floor,” she reportedly said to her audience. “I am going to sit down and rest my sciatica.” She has been performing her Weekends with Adele residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace since last November.

The 35-year-old has been suffering from sciatica for years. The condition emanates from the sciatic nerve, which is outside the base of the spine, and can cause pain in the legs and lower back.

Adele has been open with her fans before about her health issues. On New Year’s Eve, while limping out to the stage, she told the crowd about her chronic back pain. "I have to waddle these days, as I have really bad sciatica," she said.

Adele Announces Rescheduled Dates for Postponed Las Vegas Residency

Six months after she postponing her Las Vegas residency, Adele took to Instagram on Monday to announce the rescheduled dates for “Weekends with Adele.”

She told The Face magazine in November 2021 that her back has caused her pain for almost half of her life. However, working out improved her condition.

"Where I got my tummy strong, down at the bottom, which I never had before, my back don't play up as much," she added. "It means I can do more, I can run around with my kid a little bit more."

Adele’s residency was initially supposed to begin before November 2022 but was delayed—and not because of her health. She revealed last August that it was because the show’s original form and stage setup lacked “soul." She made the announcement via a tearful video on social media, telling Elle that, “It was the worst moment in my career, by far.”
