50 Cent’s publishing company, G-Unit Books, is taking the mother of his child to court.

TMZ reports that Fif is suing his ex, Shaniqua Tompkins, for sharing stories about him online. G-Unit Books claims that she "irrevocably and exclusively" sold her life rights to the company years ago, in 2007. At the time, she agreed "she would not publicly disclose, exploit, or otherwise commercialize any aspect of her life story or related rights."

50 made light of the lawsuit on Instagram, posting TMZ’s headline and writing, “I didn’t realize how much she looks like me, girl you handsome with them baby hairs. LOL.”

It seems like she recently violated those terms. In 2023, Tompkins shared a video on YouTube called “Other Side of the Coin,” where she said she tells "the untold truth of how she helped to build the G-Unit legacy and how Curtis ‘50-Cent’ Jackson wouldn’t be who he is today without her,” per the description.

G-Unit Books also alleges that last month, Tompkins tried to gain traction for her own brand by speculating about the identity of the witnesses in Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering trial. She apparently wrote on IG, "Fun fact: I ain’t never sell no [cat emoji]." The publishing company says the added attention prompted her to further discuss Diddy’s trial and tell additional stories about her and 50 Cent’s relationship.

G-Unit is suing her for breach of contract and has requested that the court stop her from sharing any additional information online. The company is also seeking at least $1 million at trial.

50 and Tompkins share a 28-year-old son, Marquise Jackson. The father and son have been estranged for years now and have often publicly feuded online. The pair traded shots as recently as this Father’s Day.

“Oh it’s father’s day. Happy father’s day to all the real ones. I’m watching my bet and it ain’t looking too good. I got the over. We all know this the day for photo ops. The day ain’t over yet. Finish strong… get on your job,” Jackson wrote, per HipHopDX.

Fif didn’t waste any time responding: “You little punk your momma got you and your sister scamming. Them people came to ask me some questions about it. I said I don’t fvck wit them, I’m a law abiding citizen.”
