50 Cent Takes Shots at Nick Cannon: 'He's Been Corny Forever'

Eminem and Nick Cannon’s beef is ongoing and infamous. But recently, the Wild 'n Out host pulled 50 Cent into the crosshairs.

In an appearance on The Breakfast Club, Fif commented on Cannon’s feud with Em when asked if he talked to Em about not coming for Cannon again. “I was like ain’t nothin’ there,” FIf said. “‘Cause Em, he’ll get hype on the what. Like you challenging him in that way—‘cause he comes from that format, the battle format. They actually put him in a space where he’s the most comfortable when they attack him.”

The radio hosts also brought up Cannon’s recent track “Used to Look Up to You.” While many thought the song was about Eminem, Cannon later revealed on VladTV that the track was aimed at 50.

“I would never respond to that,” Fif told The Breakfast Club around the 27:45 mark. “[Cannon’s] legendary corny. He’s been corny forever. From the very beginning.”

Everyone agreed that they don’t understand why Cannon’s so passionate about rapping. “You suck, bro,” 50 said. “I’ma just tell you the truth. There’s never a moment when you said something and we was like, ‘Ooh, bars.’”

While he's far from impressed with his rapping, 50 did say that Cannon's a better actor. When asked if he would cast him for Power Book, 50 said he would if he did a good job and complimented Cannon's performance in Drumline.

In January, Cannon dropped a mixtape called The Miseducation of the Negro You Love to Hate, where “Used To Look Up To You” appears. Speaking with VladTV, Cannon confirmed that the track and “Know What It Is” are “more about 50 and a lot of these other rappers.”

50 also touched on his beef with DJ Khaled. “He’s one of the ones—I let him go,” Fif said.

Fif and Khaled were recently in close proximity in Miami, when they performed at a pre-Super Bowl concert, which had been put together by Fat Joe.

“Joe knows how to balance what’s going on,” Fif said. “So he’ll go, ‘Yo, you good? Ok stay right here. I’m gonna send Khaled on and get him out of here and then you come on right quick.’ [Joe] knows that if they put up that energy to me, then I’m gonna respond to it. Right there, I’m gonna respond to it. I’m not gonna wait ‘til tomorrow. If you’re doing it right there then let’s address it.”
