YoungBoy Never Broke Again Drops New Album 'Until Death Call My Name'

The rapper can now cross one item off his bucket list.

After a two-month delay, YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s debut album is finally here.

The 13-track project, which was announced in early 2018, was originally scheduled to drop on March 2; however, shortly after YoungBoy was arrested on a kidnapping warrant, it was revealed that the album had been pushed back to the end of April.

More than a month after the delay was announced, YoungBoy released a standalone record called “Nicki Minaj,” which was posted on YouTube along with a message: “Tell the label drop my album or I’m releasing what don't matter until then.”

Though he had to endure a month of waiting, YoungBoy finally got what he wanted Thursday night.

Until Death Call My Name is now available on Apple Music/iTunes or via Spotify below.

The album includes contributions by Lil Baby (“Traumatized”), Future (“Right or Wrong”), and Birdman (“We Poppin”), who also worked with YoungBoy on a joint mixtape called From the Bayou.

The Baton Rouge rapper is currently facing a number of legal issues, including assault and kidnapping charges involving his girlfriend Jania Jackson. YoungBoy was arrested and extradited to Georgia back in February, after he was accused of attacking Jackson in a Florida hotel hallway.

In 2016, YoungBoy was arrested on two counts of attempted murder stemming from his alleged involvement in a drive-by shooting. He accepted a plea deal in May 2017, which reduced his charges to one count of assault with a firearm.

Though his run-ins with the law have sullied his musical achievements, YoungBoy appears to be optimistic about the future. On album release day, the rapper shares a bucket list that includes getting off of probation, earning his GED, collaborating with Adele, and winning a Grammy. Updates of his achievements will be chronicled on the Never Broke Again, LLC Instagram account.
