YG and Mustard are celebrating Juneteenth by giving back to the city that raised them.

On Friday, the Los Angeles natives announced they had teamed up with Postmates to donate $100,000 worth of meals to L.A. residents and community organizations. The news comes on the same day YG and Mustard confirmed their equity stake in the Fishbone Seafood chain, which will participate in the free-meals initiative.

"I met one of the [Fishbone] owners at a gas station, and he told me we should do business," YG said in a statement. "I called Mustard and told him about the opportunity, and he was ready to go."

Mustard explained why it was so important to help out the LA community, saying it was one of the hardest-hit areas during the global health crisis.

"YG and I have not forgotten where we come from and feel a duty to support those who are less fortunate and have been our biggest supporters from the beginning," Mustard said.

On Friday, which also falls on the second annual "Mustard Day," the longtime collaborators will deliver $50,000 worth of free food to Angelenos within the delivery radius. Participating Fishbone locations are offering two free meal options: The Mustard Plate, which is grilled shrimp and filet sole with sautéed vegetables; and the YG Plate, which consists of grilled filet sole with sautéed vegetables.

L.A. residents can order the free options by visiting Postmates.com or downloading Postmates on iOS or Android. Users are limited to one free meal per order while supplies last.

In addition to the $50,000 free food deliveries, YG and Mustard are giving another $50,000 in meals to LA charitable organizations over the next week. These include A New Way of Life, Hollywood Food Coalition, Midnight Mission, Watts Empowerment Center, Upward Bound House, and five St. John’s Well Child and Family clinics.
