Lil Yachty, Steve Aoki, and AJR Roll Out New Single "Pretender"

The single is expected to land on Aoki's upcoming 'Neon Future III' album.

Lil Yachty and Steve Aoki have reunited on “Pretender”—an upbeat single assisted by indie pop trio AJR.

Aoki announced the track, which arrived Thursday night, nearly one month ago on social media and has since previewed the record during live shows.

“Pretender” is a catchy song with a nice mix of the electronic, pop, and rap genres. Aoki provides the infectious, atmospheric beat; AJR takes care of the chorus; and Lil Boat handles the final verse, rapping:

The track is expected to appear on Aoki’s long-awaited studio album Neon Future III.
