Lil Uzi Vert has shared some word of encouragement for the embattled Kodak Black.
It was less than two weeks ago when Kodak was arrested on drug-related charges in Broward County, Florida. Authorities say they pulled over Kodak on July 15 after the highway patrol noticed his tags were expired and his tinted windows “appeared to be darker than the legal limit.” Law enforcement claim they smelled marijuana during the stop and launched a vehicle search, which yielded 31 oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash. Kodak, legal name Bill K. Kapri, was ultimately charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and trafficking oxycodone.
Kodak’s attorney has argued the oxycodone found in the vehicle was legally prescribed to the rapper after he was shot in February. Uzi took to social media Wednesday night to support the lawyer’s claim, insisting he has seen Kodak with the prescription.
“Everybody know Kodak Jus got shot I seen this N***a with his scripts,” he tweeted. “Idk why he going thru this shit still Mannn Wtf going on down there In Broward ? @KodakBlack1k you blessed tho fam you will threw any situation that’s put in front of you 🫡💯.”

Kodak Black was pulled over by cops on Friday, and he was arrested after authorities discovered 31 oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash in his car.
Kodak shared the following response:
Kodak’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, says he has given prosecutors proof of the oxycodone prescription.
“Never judge a case based on an arrest,” Cohen wrote following the rapper’s arrest. “There are always additional facts and circumstances that give rise to a defense, especially in this case. We will get him a bond today and move forward with resolving the matter quickly.”
Kodak has since accused Florida authorities of “character assassination” and has threatened to take legal action over the “bogus” charges.
“Ima Sue these people for every dollar I gotta spend bout this shit,” he tweeted. “I’m being racially profiled and as a black man in America I deserve my freedom especially with everything I do for my community I should be getting love , respect and support from the authorities ! To move freely , not getting arrested for expired tag and dark windows.”
Kodak was released on $75,000 bond a day after his arrest.
