Latto Praises Cardi B and Yung Miami for Balancing Motherhood With Rap Careers

Latto praised the rappers during an appearance on Yung Miami's 'Caresha Please' podcast. Cardi has since thanked the '777' artist for the kind words.

Latto is giving rap moms their flowers.

During a recent appearance on the Caresha Please podcast, Latto opened up about her hectic schedule and the importance of maintaining a work-life balance. The 23-year-old rapper then saluted artists like Yung Miami and Cardi B for showing the world you can be a mother and still have a successful career.

“I really salute you … I always use you and Cardi as an example,” she told host Miami (41:30). “Y’all give us a new meaning to ‘boss bitch.’ You know how they always try to make it seem like, ‘Oh, no. You can’t have a baby yet. It’s not possible. You’re gonna slow down. You’re gonna stop.’ Bitch, I swear to god, I’ll be like, ‘Miami didn’t stop. Cardi didn’t stop.’ I swear to god, I go to y’all every time. Y’all just re-wrote the story for us … That shit be motivation for somebody like me.”

Though Latto doesn’t have any children at the moment, she told Miami that a “baby ain’t too far away.”

“I’m ready … I ain’t gon’ lie,” she said. “Maybe, like, a year or two.”

The rapper said she’s always had respect for mothers, as her own mom had her when she was just 15.

“I respect the fuck out of women …” she continued. “On Mother’s Day, I don’t play. I send every mom I know flowers, edible arrangements, all that stuff. Women who have kids, that’s the boss bitch. The boss bitch is being a mom. That’s the ultimate boss bitch. It don’t get more feminine than bringing a life into this world. I’m really obsessed with motherhood.”

Cardi caught wind of Latto’s kind words and thanked her for the recognition.

Latto told Miami she’s been in a relationship for about two years, but has managed to keep her man’s identity under wraps. The 777 artist has been romantically linked to 21 Savage, but neither of them have confirmed a relationship.

“Who is your man?” Miami asked at the 48:48 mark. “Can you give us a hint?”

“He a real n***a. He a rich n***a. He that n***a,” Latto said with a laugh. “… Everything about our life is so exposed, so I feel like I have something real and I want to protect it from the world. This ain’t no PR shit.”
