It seems Kodak Black, French Montana, and DJ Khaled have resolved an ongoing legal battle over the "Lockjaw" track.

According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, the entertainers have settled the copyright infringement suit that was filed by Moroccan music producer Yo Asel. The plaintiff accused Kodak, French, and Khaled of using his beat in the 2016 record without proper authorization.

Asel claimed the song, which appeared on French's Wave Gods project, featured a modified version of one of his beats he previously shared with the Moroccan-born artist. Asel said he was unaware his work would appear on "Lockjaw," and was repeatedly ignored when he attempted to confront French. He eventually filed a lawsuit against the Jungle Rules rapper as well as Kodak and Khaled, who served as the track's guest artist and co-writer, respectively.

Asel was seeking unspecified damages and an injunction prohibiting French from profiting off the song; however, the parties have recently come to an agreement to dismiss the case entirely. The Blast doesn't provide too many details about the terms of the settlement; though the outlet reports that both sides have agreed to cover their own legal fees.

This is good news for Kodak, who has another serious legal battle on his hands. The Dying to Live rapper is scheduled to appear in court in April 2019, when he will face sexual assault charges for allegedly raping a teenage girl in 2016. If convicted, Kodak could serve up to 30 years behind bars.
