Don Q is looking to make big moves in 2018.
More than seven months after he dropped his Corner Stories Reloaded project, the Highbridge rapper has returned with a new mixtape titled Don Talk. The eight-track effort includes production from Murda Beatz, Ness, Honorable C Note, and Nick Papz, as well as some solid guest appearances. There’s Pusha T on “Words of Wisdom,” Tee Grizzley on “Head Tap,” and Desiigner on the previously released single “Trap Phone.”
Don Q spoke about the tape and his experience of working with the “Panda” rapper in a recent interview with Salute.
“Once I laid down the first verse, I kept hearing Desiigner ad-libs in my head,” he explained. “I kept saying ‘I’ve got to get him on this record.’ Once I played it, he got so hyped that he did something crazy. He just f***ing went in on it. I did the last verse and solidified it. The goal was to make a hard street song right there.”
