Billie Eilish Calls Out Her Impersonators: 'Please Stop Doing This Sh*t'

Billie Eilish clearly isn't flattered by impersonators. In fact, she seems pretty annoyed by them.

The Grammy-winning artist took to Instagram on Thursday to address the group of YouTubers who are using her image for prank videos. These people attempt to replicate Billie's signature style by donning oversized clothing, green hair dye, and sunglasses, before going out in public to fool unsuspecting fans.

Billie shared several screenshots of the videos in question, and asked the people behind the posts to cut it out, as it was bad for everyone involved.

"Please stop doing this shit," she wrote in an Instagram story. "It is not safe for you and it is mean to the people who don't know any better. You make me look bad."

She also included a close-up shot of one of her impersonator's socks, and roasted them for their poor choice: "Also soooo disrespectful that you'd go out pretending to be me wearing THIS."

Jordan Matter, one of the YouTubers who was called out in the posts, has since deleted his Billie impersonation video and issued an apology on Instagram.

"I had absolutely no intention of disrespecting Billie. I’m a big fan, like everyone else," Matter wrote. "I’ve never done a celebrity impersonation video before, but they’re pretty common so I thought it would be fun to add my own acrobatic twist. I felt it was completely harmless since at no time in the video are we pretending that she is actually Billie. I have reached out directly to Billie and Maggie and apologized, and I will not post the video without their permission. I hope this clarifies everything."
