In the latest installment of his #SundayServices series, Jeezy shared the visuals for his song "Change The World," and it's clear that issue of police brutality is on his mind. In the video, a young black man is at first seen gunned down after fleeing from the police and attempting to pull out his high school diploma. In an alternate scene, the same man is greeted warmly by the officer, who congratulates him on his academic success. The video ends with the phrase "The police are here to protect and serve."
Jeezy is certainly not the first rapper to tackle the police violence this year. Videos from artists like Kendrick Lamar and Vince Staples have also made statements about the hot-button political issue. "Change The World" is the latest release from Jeezy's upcoming Church In These Streets album, which drops on Nov. 13.
