It's no secret that Chance the Rapper and Kanye West have grown pretty close over the last couple months. Both rappers lent their voices to each others projects, with Chance appearing on The Life of Pablo's "Ultralight Beam" and Kanye popping up on Coloring Book's "All We Got." Since then, Chance has called Kanye "the greatest artist of our generation" in his Complex cover story, while Kanye said that Chance is "one of my favorite people" and that he had "god level bars."

Today, the love-fest continued on Twitter, with Chance giving us a little more insight into his complex relationship with his idol-turned-collaborator. He notes that he feels as if he's known Kanye ever since The College Dropout song "We Don't Care" came out, but that he feels weird now that the two are friends in real life. "Every time I talk to him it feels foreign," he wrote. "I still get nervous and starstruck. I'm still surprised when he likes my ideas." For Chance, this dual relationship works only because Kanye is "one of a kind. Therefore, I've always known him, and will never know him. I'm content with that."
