Watch Kendrick Lamar's Stunning CFP National Championship Halftime Performance

He performed after word of Donald Trump's attendance made waves.

Many shouted the name of Kendrick Lamar's latest album when it was reported that Donald Trump was attending the College Football Playoff Championship in Atlanta, where he was giving the halftime performance. Lamar has made political statements at his televised shows in the past, and this was the perfect setup to do so.

Trump did show up and even took the field for the pregame National Anthem ceremony. However, he reportedly left right before Lamar's performance.

And there wasn't an overt political statement from Lamar, either. It was just Kendrick, in a parka, giving the audience the Damn bangers. After starting with the "Feel" instrumental, he ran through "DNA," "Element," and "Humble" before ending with the recently released "All the Stars" sans SZA. In an unfortunate twist, the conversation turned from Lamar possibly making a righteous statement to accusations of him lip-syncing.

Still, he was better than Alabama, who was scoreless at the half.

No matter, you can watch a low-quality version of Kendrick Lamar's performance above.
