The LOX and Dipset went head-to-head in the latest edition of Verzuz last week, with the Bad Boy-turned-Ruff Ryders crew going hit-for-hit with Harlem’s Diplomats at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York City.
The battle produced several viral moments, including one where Cam’ron was seen kicking Styles P mid-performance as he lounged in a beach chair.
With internet trolls speculating on whether the incident suggested a brewing beef between the two rappers, Killa Cam and Styles P addressed the matter on Friday night via Instagram to address what really went down.
“My brother kicked me, man! He kicked me hard,” Styles P starts off the clip.
“No, what happened was…He tried to rip my whole pants leg off,” Cam said. “Look, I appreciate my drip! That shit was a thousand dollars [and] he was trying to rip the whole pants leg off! I didn’t know what was going on!”
“Everybody out there, we will never beef. And if we did beef, you will never see it because we love each other and it will be [addressed] as men,” Styles P and Cam continued. “We had a great time, we had a ball doing it. It [Verzuz] was a beautiful night!..But bigger than that, we are Black entrepreneurs. Please do not get it twisted. Promoters, do not get scared, don’t worry about it. We said we would give you the show of your lifetime and we did!”
