Nearly three years since the release of her last album, 2020’s Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios), Kali Uchis returns with her latest single “I Wish You Roses.”
The track arrives alongside an accompanying video directed Cho Gi-Seok in South Korea.
“This song is about being able to release people with love,” Uchis said about the track. “It could be a friend, a lover, or someone else, but the point is to celebrate releasing people from your life without being resentful or bitter.”
It’s unclear if “I Wish You Roses” will end up on Uchis’ next full-length offering, which she has been teasing for quite some time.
Later this year, Kali is scheduled to perform at Coachella, as well as Lollapalooza’s festivals in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil. The 28-year old artist will also perform a set at Colombia’s Estéreo Picnic.
