Juvenile Performs "Back That Azz Up," "Ha," "Slow Motion," and More For NPR's 'Tiny Desk Concert'

The New Orleans rapper delivered a medley of classic cuts alongside Cash Money Records superproducer Mannie Fresh.

Cash Money Records legend Juvenile delivered a medley of classic tracks in the latest installment of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series.

Alongside Mannie Fresh, Juvenile kicked things off with the intro from Hot Boys’ sophomore album Guerilla Warfare, before performing six signature cuts spread across his discography: "Ha," "Back That Azz Up," and "400 Degreez" (from the New Orleans rapper's 1999 album 400 Degreez); "Set It Off" (2001's Project English); "Slow Motion" (2003's Juve the Great); and "Rodeo" (2006's Reality Check).

In addition, Juve performed renditions of a handful of Cash Money collaborations, including "I Need A Hot Girl" (off Hot Boys' 1999 album Guerilla Warfare), "Bling Bling" (B.G.'s 1999 LP Chopper City in the Ghetto), and "Project Bitch" (from Cash Money's 2000 compilation project Baller Blockin').

Juvenile's followers on Twitter deserve credit for the Cash Money icon's Tiny Desk performance. Back in April, Juve fans urged the rapper to take his talents to NPR's live concert series. Juvenile initially claimed to be unaware of Tiny Desk's existence, before he agreed to deliver an installment if his tweet received 10,000 retweets.

"All Things Considered, 10k retweets and I will RECONSIDER doing @NPR Tiny Desk," Juvenile wrote in April.

In a subsequent tweet, Juve revealed that he'd been booked as a guest. "The People Have Spoken!!!! 10k!! @NPR locked it in. I appreciate the luv and I’m gonna put on a one of a kind show for y’all on #TinyDesk."
