A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie was arrested in London Saturday night, just minutes before he was scheduled to take the stage at the 2021 Wireless Festival.

The Bronx rapper took to Instagram on Sunday and acknowledged his arrest, revealing that the incident stemmed from something he was accused of two years ago.

“SMH Sorry to everyone who came out to see me at Wireless,” A Boogie wrote. “Police locked me up before I went on stage for something I was accused of 2 years ago. I’m OK and I’ll try my best to make it up to you guys.”

Festival organizers reportedly sent a message to fans who were expecting Boogie to perform at the festival Saturday afternoon: “There has been an incident involving A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie,” the message read. “He is safe and we are working to change his set to sometime tomorrow. We will provide further details as they are made available to us.”

The arrest comes just nine months after police raided Boogie’s New Jersey residence and found an arsenal of guns and some marijuana. The 25-year-old was charged in December with one count of unlawful possession of a handgun and one count of possession of marijuana.

Since dropping the deluxe version of his latest full-length offering, Artist 2.0, in June 2020, Boogie has been in the studio recording his upcoming fourth studio album, A Boogie Vs. Artist. The project is expected to include the Lil Durk-featuring single “24 Hours.”
