Aubrey O’Day was forced to sit out a major moment for Danity Kane after being hospitalized just hours before the group’s Los Angeles reunion show.

According to Us Weekly, the singer revealed on Instagram that she became seriously ill on Wednesday, December 10, and ultimately had to go to the emergency room, which prevented her from performing at the El Rey Theatre—the second stop on Danity Kane’s The Untold Chapter tour.

“My loves… I am so sorry,” O’Day wrote in a message to fans. “I’ve become extremely sick and physically can’t make tonight’s show as I’m in the ER.”

She explained that she had been trying to push through the illness all day but eventually had to accept that performing wasn’t possible. “Being sick is being sick — it’s completely out of my control,” she added, noting that she was “heartbroken” about missing the show.

Despite O’Day’s absence, the concert went on as planned, with Aundrea Fimbres and D. Woods performing as a duo. Fan-shot clips from the night quickly surfaced online, showing the pair delivering a complete set for the Los Angeles crowd.

The missed appearance came just one day after Danity Kane officially kicked off their reunion run in San Francisco. During the December 9 show at August Hall, O’Day, Fimbres, and Woods reunited onstage to perform fan favorites like “Damaged,” “Show Stopper,” and “Heartbreaker,” marking their first performance together in years.

Danity Kane announced The Untold Chapter tour in October, teasing a return that left fans guessing which members would take part. In a statement shared on social media at the time, the group described the tour as more than a standard comeback, framing it as a profoundly personal chapter that would evolve night by night.

Following her hospitalization, O’Day reassured fans that she plans to rejoin the tour as soon as her health allows. “My heart is broken because I never want to let you down,” she wrote. “I know the girls will give you an incredible performance tonight, and I promise I’ll be back with you the second my body lets me.”

Originally formed on MTV’s Making the Band 3, Danity Kane rose to prominence in the mid-2000s and went on to score two No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200.
