Yung Joc shaved his head after he bet that Tory Lanez would be found not guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

Following the news that the Daystar rapper was found guilty on all counts, Joc showed that he was ready to honor the bet despite not being completely happy with a shaved head. In an appearance alongside his fellow Morning Takeover hosts on Tuesday, Joc was jokingly offered his “last meal” in the lead-up to his haircut. “This is for Meg Thee Stallion,” said his co-host Shyneka as she finished the cut. “This is for Meg and Roc Nation.”

In a recent clip from an interview with VladTV, as seen below, Joc revealed that he made a bet with his co-hosts Shyneka and Shawty Shawty that he’d shave his head if Lanez was found guilty.

"I told Shyneka if Tory [is] innocent, she gotta come to work with the braids that be under the weave," he added. Can’t get ’em fresh, I need the weave patted down braids, the Beyoncé pat my weave braids. She gotta come to work like that. ... Either way, this is a very unfortunate situation. Just through the eyes of watching it, I don’t ever want anyone to feel like I’m making fun of their situation, ’cause it’s very unfortunate and it’s very bad for our culture, but I pray that this plays out fair.”

Lanez was found guilty on all three charges, which included assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a concealed and loaded firearm in a vehicle, and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence. Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion during an incident in July 2020 after they left a party at Kylie Jenner’s home. During the trial, Meg told the court that Lanez shouted “dance bitch” before firing five shots at her feet.

In her testimony, she also claimed that Lanez apologized for the shooting and offered her hush money. “‘Please don’t say anything, I’ll give you $1 million,’” she recalled Lanez telling her. The Canadian rapper now faces over 20 years in prison.
