28-year-old Ricki Smith of Louisville claims that the artist formerly known as Kanye West utilized mind control to make her steal a vehicle with a child inside.
As reported by WEHT, the woman was arrested on Friday, Aug. 30 after bystanders reported her attempting to break into vehicles outside of a business in Evansville. A person working at a nearby business said they witnessed her trying to open various car doors in the parking lot. She found one unlocked vehicle and sat inside briefly.
Smith later entered a second vehicle as a mother went inside a store nearby, at which point the witness attempted to pull her out of the car. The mother ran over to the car and pulled Smith out by her hair. When Evansville Police arrived at the scene, the mother explained that she left her vehicle unlocked because she wanted to quickly get something from the store while taking her child to daycare. She informed officers that she wanted to file charges against Smith, who claimed that her car broke down during her journey from Louisville to Evansville.
When interviewed by police, she alleged that Ye "telepathically" instructed her to steal a vehicle. She was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail. Her abandoned vehicle was later discovered wrecked off Highway 64.

Bizarrely, this is the first time Ye and telepathy have gone hand in hand. In 2018, during one of his more vocal periods of social media activity, he warned his followers of the effects of the "mind control" in a lengthy rant shared on X, formerly Twitter.
"I just want to talk about mind control," he said in the since-deleted video, per USA Today. "You know, when people try to influence you through social media and try to tell you what to do, or if you post something that's, like, positive on Instagram, it gets taken down if it's not a part of a bigger agenda." Of course, that's a different form of mind control, more commonly known as propaganda.
