Following the release of his latest studio album, the post-punk-inspired Cry Baby, Vince Staples has announced a North American tour in support of the record.
The album, which was supported by the confrontational videos for “Blackberry Marmalade” and “White Flag,” sees Staples pivoting from hip-hop for a sound filled with blown-out vocals, deep grooves, and hard-hitting bass. His most experimental album since 2016’s Big Fish Theory, which featured production from late hyperpop pioneer SOPHIE, Cry Baby will be supported by a North American tour later this year.
In the lead-up to and following the release of Cry Baby, Vince Staples performed tracks from the album at album release shows and music festivals with a full band. He’s expected to be joined by a full band for the North American tour when it kicks off in October.
Which cities will Vince Staples perform in as part of the tour?
The North American tour will start this October with a show in Atlanta and run through to November. The tour will stop at cities including Houston, Philadelphia, Boston, Detroit, Toronto, Chicago, Austin, and San Francisco, among others.
When will Cry Baby tour tickets go on sale?
Tickets for the tour will go on sale starting Friday, June 19, at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets will be available to purchase here.
