Following the news on Sunday night that Drake was booed offstage at Camp Flog Gnaw, Tyler, the Creator has responded to the situation on Twitter.
Fans had been expecting Frank Ocean to perform as a special guest, but when Drizzy played a set that he ultimately cut short, there were boos from some in the audience. "If you wanna keep going, I will keep going tonight," he said. As he left the stage he said, "Well, look, it's been love. ...Thank you for having me."
Tyler has criticized the fans who booed Drake, but he also admitted it might have been "tone deaf" to get the rapper to play Flog Gnaw.
"I thought bringing one of the biggest artist on the fucking planet to a music festival was fire," Tyler tweeted in all caps. "But flipside, a lil tone deaf knowing the specific crowd it drew. Some created a narrative in their head and acted out like assholes when it didn't come true and I don't fuck with that."
From there, Tyler showed his appreciate for Drake for playing the festival, regardless of how it ended.
People on Twitter had a lot to say about the ordeal, with many taking aim at the "entitled" attendees.
All of which prompted Tyler to change his Twitter bio to "embarrassed by fans right now."
