The Weeknd Shares 'After Hours' Short Film

Ahead of the release of his fourth studio album 'After Hours,' The Weeknd has unleashed a short film of the same name.

Ahead of the release of his fourth studio album After Hours, The Weeknd has unleashed a short film of the same name. With a similar aesthetic to the previous videos he's shared in the lead-up to the record's release, the short film once again features a bloodied Abel stumbling around town in a daze.

Directed by Anton Tammi, who also helmed the videos for "Heartless" and "Blinding Lights," the video offers a glimpse of what to expect from the full album. The opening depicts him as he wraps up a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and follows him as the smile from his face slowly fades. From there the title track of the album starts to play as he's mysteriously dragged through a subway station. It does not offer too much in the way of new music, but it does indicate what tone he's going for this time around. Since his visuals have all been connected thematically, it's safe to assume there will be more videos before the album arrives.

Later this year, the Canadian singer will embark on a world tour. The shows will kick off in Vancouver on June 11, and will run until Nov. 12 in Paris, France. He'll be joined by Don Toliver, Sabrina Claudio and XO-signed act 88Glam on select dates.

Watch the short film above, and look out for After Hours when it drops March 20.
