Southside Recruits Travis Scott and Future for New Video and Song "Hold That Heat"

Producer Southside has linked-up with two of his most trustworthy collaborators, Travis Scott and Future, for his hard-hitting new song “Hold That Heat.”

Producer Southside has linked-up with two of his most trustworthy collaborators, Travis Scott and Future, for his hard-hitting new song “Hold That Heat.”

It’s unclear if the song is taken from a forthcoming project from Southside, who has yet to release a solo studio album. However, the song makes a clear case for the in-demand producer being just as much the star of the show as the vocalists featured on it.

The song marks Travis Scott’s second song appearance following the Astroworld Festival crowd crush in November, 2021. The rapper has mostly avoided the public eye ever since, but he did make an appearance on Kanye West’s Donda 2, although unlike most of that record’s collaborators he did not show up for the event in Miami ahead of its release.

Just recently, he performed a surprise 5-song performance at a Coachella after-party. The impromptu set marks his second return to the stage since the Astroworld disaster following a Pre-Oscars party last month. Future, meanwhile, has a new album on the way this month.
