Rihanna fans were treated to everything but new music from her in 2018. On Friday, Rih Rih decided to tease her fans about the currently untitled record. On her Instagram Stories, she waves a stack of cash and blows a kiss to the camera. "Where the album?'" she captions the image. "Me: sorry my connection poor."
It's clear that Rihanna enjoys toying with her fans. The wait for the record has undoubtedly left fans eager to hear what she's been cooking up, but for now she's got plenty of other non-music related projects on the way.
Hype for Rihanna's long-awaited follow-up to 2016's ANTI increased recently when she told fans to expect new music in 2019. In September, she let her fans know that new music is being worked on, but it's not exactly her focus.
"Simultaneously doing lingerie, makeup, film, amongst a couple other things that I enjoy," she said. "When the music is ready, you won't have to ask for it. But it's coming." Her mysterious project with Donald Glover and Hiro Murai, Guava Island, is also expected to debut at some point in 2019.
