Rick Ross and The Breakfast Club host DJ Envy have been trading shots at each other for the past few weeks over their respective car shows. Rick Ross is set to host his second annual car show at his Promised Land estate in Fayetteville, Georgia on June 3, while The Breakfast Club host DJ Envy is hosting his own car show entitled Drive Your Dreams in Memphis, Tennessee on May 28.

As TMZ previously reported, the permit for Ross' June 3 show was initially rejected by authorities, but Ross said that it wouldn't stop him from making sure the event goes ahead as planned. Not long after that, the two started to fire more serious shots at each other across a string of appearances.

Below we take a look back at what has been said between Rick Ross and DJ Envy.

How did the beef start?

The situation began after comments Rozay made on an episode of Drink Champs. "Envy was never on my level," said Ross when asked if he was going back and forth with the host regarding the show. "I wouldn't do that to Envy, I rock with Envy. I fuck with Envy... But in the car game he not ready for that. I support his shit, and anybody go there got a lot of heart."

In response, Envy criticized Rozay, who at the time was struggling to get the required permits for his show.

Rick Ross tells DJ Envy to "Bow down, beige boy"

"Since we on our car show, DJ Envy, you’ll never be on my level,” Rick Ross said on his Instagram Stories on May 18. “Envy, don’t nobody build cars to come to your car show. Don’t nobody drive from out of state to come to your car show, Envy. Da Beige Rage. You see? But make sure them people got everything they need, Envy. And Memphis, y’all better hold Envy to it.”

While roasting Envy, who has planning permits for his Memphis event, the rapper suggested that his event in Georgia would be the better of the two because he's hosting it in his front yard and allowing people to stay "as late as Rozay want us to stay." He continued, "Bow down, Envy. Bow down, beige boy. You a beige boy! And make sure my people good. We been had these. We show love, for real. You just marketing.”

Envy dresses as a cop to mock Rozay's past as a correctional officer

DJ Envy kept the beef going a week later when he dressed up as a police officer on The Breakfast Club in reference to Rick Ross' much-maligned past as a correctional officer. He made it abundantly clear what he was doing as he introduced himself as "Officer Ricky" during the episode.

“Ross went at me for what — 10 or 12 hours? I could tell he was rattled," Envy said about their continued shots at each other. “I could tell something was wrong, so I wore this today to make him feel more comfortable." He accused Ross of still getting a "pension from the corrections," name-dropping a Miami Correctional Facility Ross apparently worked for in Miami in the '90s.

“You started off as a football player. They kicked you off the team because you would stand by the showers and watch the boys take a shower,” he added. “Then you moved to corrections and what did you do? You watched the boys take a shower. ... You think I’m Big Meech? No, you’re Officer Ricky. I think I’m Larry Hoover? No, you’re Officer Ricky.”

Rick Ross brings DJ Envy's wife into the beef

“It’s the Biggest Boss,” Rick Ross started in a video shared on Instagram, in which he dragged Envy's wife Gia Casey into the back and forth. “June 3rd, I’m providing jobs. DJ Envy-ous, I got a job for your girlfriend. This is a one-time opportunity. Your girlfriend has the opportunity to be my pickleball paddle polisher. My pickleball paddle polisher! You hear me? Let her know. While they cleaning the pools...Yeah! Enjoy your day."

He later went on to suggest that Envy's wife "faked an orgasm for two decades," something that was touched on in Casey and Envy's Real Life, Real Love: Life Lessons on Joy, Pain & the Magic That Holds Us Together book and an interview with Shade Room.

Later, Ross shared a post that announced his show was officially approved by Fayette County.

Fat Joe chimes in to say that he doesn't like where the beef is going

Bronx rapper Fat Joe, who considers himself a friend of both Envy and Rick Ross, has since chimed in to let them know he doesn't like seeing them fight.

“Don’t like what’s going on with Rick Ross and DJ Envy,” Joe said on Instagram. “Don’t like it. I love ’em both. Beautiful men in their own right, successful, do their thing. I don’t like where it’s going. I know I’ve had my share of beefing with people, but I don’t like it because they’re both beautiful, beautiful people.”
