Priscilla Presley Denied Request to Be Buried Next to Elvis at Graceland in Settlement With Estate

As part of the settlement over the estate of her daughter Lisa Marie Presley, Priscilla Presley was denied her "wish" to be buried next to her late ex-husband Elvis Presley at his Graceland estate, TMZ reports.

Sources familiar with the settlement proceedings said that Presley, who married the King of Rock and Roll in 1967 and divorced himin 1973, was denied her request to be buried next to her ex-husband, who died in 1977. "Although I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. It is my family's and my wish for me to be laid to rest with my daughter and the love of my life when that time comes," said Presley, 77, in a statement. "We appreciate the love from all of the fans."

Elvis was buried beside his mother Gladys and father Vernon at Graceland. His only child, Lisa Marie Presley, was also buried at Graceland next to her late son Benjamin Keough.

Presley reached a settlement with her grandaughter Riley Keough in a Los Angeles courthouse on Tuesday. The two were engaged in a legal battle over Lisa Marie Presley's trust following her death earlier this year at age 54. "My family has resolved all confusion as it relates to our plea to the court and request for document interpretation after my daughter Lisa Marie's untimely passing," said Presley in a statement shared with People earlier this week. "Although some media identified such a plea as a lawsuit, I want to make clear that there was never any lawsuit filed against my beloved granddaughter."

According to her lawyer, Ronson Shamoun, all parties are "happy" following the settlement talks. Keough's attorney Justin Gold added, "[Riley] would not have agreed to the settlement if she was not happy with it."
