Normani has been ramping up her solo career ever since Fifth Harmony announced their indefinite hiatus, breaking through in a big way with her Khalid collaboration, "Love Lies." Now she's giving it an even bigger push just over a week after featuring on Quavo's debut solo album Quavo Huncho, teaming up with certified hit-maker Calvin Harris for two new songs.
The newly released and simply titled Normani x Calvin Harris EP includes "Checklist" and "Slow Down," the former of which features WizKid. The two tracks feature some smooth production that recalls some of Harris' Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, although featuring a more reggae-inspired edge.
Normani recently teased that she's been working on new material with Kehlani and Missy Elliott, although she didn't give an indication of when to expect to hear more about that music. She does have a debut full-length solo record on the way, but right now it doesn't have a title or a date. Hopefully that will all change soon.
Before appearing on Quavo's Quavo Huncho track "Swing," Normani also collaborated with Jessie Reyez for the "Body Count" remix featuring Kehlani. Listen to "Checklist" featuring WizKid and "Slow Down" above, or check them out through your streaming platform of choice here.
