During a recent livestream together on TikTok, Michael Jackson impersonators Fabio Jackson and Michael Trapson offered their take on the first trailer for the upcoming MJ biopic, Michael.

In a clip from the stream, which can be seen below, Fabio praised the the King of Pop’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, in the lead role but voiced some concerns about the rest of the movie. “I knew that I was going to nitpick,” he said. “When I saw the trailer, I saw that some of the things could have [been] done better. … Man, how could it be that they messed up on a couple of things that shouldn’t’ve been messed up.”

He said that he took issue with how MJ’s hair was depicted in certain glimpses of the trailer, and that his pants looked too tight in a different scene. “Too much legwarmers,” he added. “I hope that they actually remove those things in a couple situations, because Michael only wore those things a couple of times.” They both also pointed out that they seemingly got one of MJ’s gloves wrong during another point in the trailer.

Fabio Jackson first shared his reaction to the trailer when it debuted online. “We’ve waited for so long for this; it’s very important,” he said in his initial reaction, which remained wordless after the trailer started. “It’s too much to take in,” he added in the caption for his reaction.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the movie stars Jaafar Jackson, the son of Michael’s brother, Jermaine Jackson. The cast is rounded out by Nia Long, Colman Domingo, Miles Teller, Laura Harrier, and Juliano Krue Valdi. Not long after the teaser trailer made its way online, it garnered 116.2 million views in its first 24 hours, becoming the most-viewed trailer for any music biopic in history.
