In December 2016, two people were shot and killed while two others were injured in the parking lot of a venue hosting a Meek Mill concert in Connecticut. Two men wee arrested in relation to the incident earlier this year, with police confirming they were charging 23-year-old Kyle Hampton and 33-year-old Tivon Edwards of first-degree manslaughter. One of the men injured by gunfire in the incident, Dylan Thomas, filed a lawsuit against Meek Mill back in 2017, but now The Blast reports that he's dropping the case.

On Dec. 27, Thomas submitted court documents telling a Connecticut judge that he is dropping his claims about Meek Mill, the Oakdale Musical Theatre, and Live Nation. Thomas was allegedly shot in the leg, blaming the defendants of letting "thugs" on the premises. Now the number of lawsuits he's facing over the incident has gone from three down to two.

The estates of Jaquan Graves and Travis Ward, the two men killed outside the concert, are still suing Meek, the venue, and Live Nation, citing poor security. The suits against the three defendants claim Meek's lyrics incite violence, referencing previous shootings at his shows. Both lawsuits are still pending, although the families have offered to settle for a total of $6,000,000.

Back in February 2018, Meek denied all allegations he had any hand in the shooting, directly or indirectly.
