Yesterday, Rita Ora was the target of many Twitter users critiquing her lip-syncing abilities, with some viewers of the Macy's Day Parade apparently only just learning that every person who performs during the annual Thanksgiving event lip-syncs. Of course, regardless of whether the artists were lip-syncing or not, a lot of people were particularly shocked at her timing during her part of the parade.

After so many were discussing the subject of lip-syncing on Twitter, John Legend took a moment to address the situation, explaining that everyone who performs is required to do so.

Rita Ora thanked Legend for clarifying everything, stressing just like him that all of her shows are "100% live."

To clear the air, Macy's placed the blame for the mishap on NBC's broadcast. “During today’s NBC broadcast of the Macy’s Parade, several recording artists experienced technical difficulties that negatively impacted their performance,” the company wrote on Twitter. “We apologize and want fans to know these issues were out of the artist’s control.”

Sacha Baron Cohen Tricks Politicians, Gun Advocates into Citing Cardi B, Rita Ora, and Blink-182

Before Sacha Baron Cohen’s new Showtime series 'Who Is America?' premiered on Sunday night, the network shared a clip of the comedian tricking gun rights advocates into citing musicians' names as "scientific" pro-gun evidence.

It's not entirely clear if technical issues were actually at fault for some of the poor timing, but hopefully it means that Ora and Legend aren't the butt of more jokes regarding their appearances during the parade.
