Lil Nas X Explains Why He Stopped Dating Famous People

In an appearance on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke, Lil Nas X revealed that he’s decided against dating anyone famous after using Raya for some time.

“I used to use Raya,” said the rapper when asked about his dating life around the 3:30 mark, referring to the membership-based dating and networking app for celebrities and influencers. "I think I stopped using Raya… It just like, fell off for me and I just started to meet people in person. And Raya is just very famous, everyone's famous on there. I've met quite a few famous guys. I think I've come to know that I don't like dating famous people.”

Asked if any of them have ever appeared on Carpool Karaoke, X replied, “For sure.” Corden appeared shocked and then asked, “Is it Michael Bublé?” The comment gave X pause for a moment, who then said, “I’m not going to tell you… Michael Bublé?! … Yeah, yeah. You caught me. Could you imagine? Michael Bublé is gay?” Corden added, “No, but he’s hot and he’s got a hell of a voice.”

Outside of his previous relationship with Yai Ariza, who starred in his “That’s What I Want” music video, Lil Nas X has mostly kept his love life private.

During the segment, the “Industry Baby” rapper was able to make his acting debut on the set of the soap opera series The Bold and the Beautiful. He portrayed a waiter while Corden plays a busboy in the background, which caused him to break character multiple times.
