During a recent Instagram Live stream, Lil Durk responded to a fan who suggested the rapper “always be looking scared” in photos and videos.

Joined by his fiancée India Royale, Durk streamed to his fans on Friday, April 29, and fielded some questions. At one point during the stream, he read out loud a comment that said, “You always be looking scared.” After taking a brief moment, Durk replied, “That’s when I became a real firm believer [that] looks can be deceiving.”

He laughed, turned to his fiancée, and joked that he often looks “lost” or “nervous.”

“But you know like I know. You know what happened in that house,” he added. “India appeared to be confused by his comments, but it seems as though he was specifically referring to an incident involving people who invaded his Atlanta home last year. The rapper and India both reportedly exchanged gunfire with the home invaders. No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.

Even if some of his fans think he has a resting nervous face, the rapper has already had a huge year. Back in March, he earned his first No. 1 solo album on the Billboard 200 with 7220. Last month, he reclaimed the No. 1 spot with the record after it moved 47,000 equivalent album units.
