After hinting at his impending retirement from music earlier this year, Kid Cudi has suggested he only has one more album in him.

“Im doin 1 more album and then im done w my deal and not sure what ima do after that but yea, 1 more,” he tweeted on Sunday, Nov. 6. “Wont be next year. Keep u posted.”

In a follow-up tweet, he added that the project will be dedicated to the fans who have supported him throughout the years. "This is for all my fans that have been ridin w me for so long. This will be all new music," he wrote. "The songs ive teased ill prolly put out as singles here and there to hold u over."

His comments come not long after he spoke to Zane Lowe about his most recent release, Entergalactic and its accompanying Netflix special. The Kid Cudi stuff, I think I want to put it on the back burner and chill out with that,” he told Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1. “I think, I want to be done with it. I think, closing the chapter on Kid Cudi.”

While he’s kept himself very busy with musical projects over the last few years, he’s expanded greatly into the world of cinema and TV, too. He executive produced and co-starred in Ti West’s X earlier this year, and has since executive produced its prequel Pearl. He’s set to appear in numerous projects next year, including the Netflix sci-fi film Crater, and action filmmaker John Woo’s highly-anticipated return to Hollywood, Silent Night.

Over the weekend, he teased that he’s working on two film scripts, suggesting that his attention is more on film right now than it is music. “Im writing 2 movies right now. One horror/thriller and another black rom com,” he said. “Both live action. Ive been so inspired. My mind is racing w ideas. The creative madness overflowing from my brain. I love this feelin.”
