Julio Foolio's murder trial recently came to a conclusion, and one of the five suspects found guilty in his 2024 killing has now been sentenced.

According to Fox 13, Alicia Andrews, who was found guilty of manslaughter last October, was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Friday (May 22).

Andrews was tried separately from the four other suspects — Rashad Murphy, Sean Gathright, Davion Murphy, and Isaiah Chance — who were all found guilty of first-degree murder earlier this month.

Prosecutors said that Andrews trailed the Jacksonville, Florida, rapper to multiple locations on the day of his murder alongside her codefendants, who were found guilty of killing him.

After following him to an Airbnb where he was celebrating his 26th birthday, and then following him to a nearby Holiday Inn and four nightclubs in the Tampa area. Foolio was fatally shot while in a vehicle as someone driving the car attempted to flee the scene.

During her trial, Andrews' defense said that codefendant Isiah Chance, her boyfriend, had a history of domestic violence against her. Judge Michelle Sisco did not allow evidence of alleged domestic violence to be presented as evidence during her trial. Investigators said that the defendants were members of two gangs that were rivals of a gang that Julio Foolio was associated with.

Andrews' defense team argued that she did not receive a fair trial and should not be sentenced. Judge Kimberly Fernandez reviewed the arguments and ruled that she would not have ruled any differently than Judge Michelle Sisco. Her defense team plans to seek a new trial and has requested time served.

The four other suspects are scheduled to be sentenced on June 22. A Florida jury has recommended life in prison without parole for all four men.
