JAY-Z has settled his lawsuit with Iconix Brand Group over his use of the Roc Nation logo. In 2017, JAY was hit with a lawsuit by the company after he put the Roc logo on some Major League Baseball apparel. Iconix alleged that JAY doesn't own the rights to the logo anymore, and said it bought it for $204 million in 2007 and maintained full control of its use. JAY subsequently challenged the lawsuit in 2018, and The Fashion Lawreports it was officially dismissed on Nov. 13.

Iconix revealed the news last week, over two years since the lawsuit was first filed against JAY-Z, Roc Nation, and Major League Baseball Properties. The company stated that the Roc Nation baseball caps violated the 2007 licensing agreement, which granted Iconix exclusive rights to produce goods sporting the logo and name of the label as part of its Rocawear clothing range.

Both sides agreed to drop all claims, and as a result Iconix has also agreed to sell some of its rights in Rocawear back to JAY-Z and the label for a reported $15 million.

This isn't the only lawsuit JAY has found himself involved in. In October, it was revealed Hov would give a filmed deposition to answer questions regarding his ongoing $18 million legal battle against fragrance company Parlux. The lawsuit was first filed against JAY-Z in 2016, claiming he was supposed to promote their Gold Jay Z men's fragrance.
