Riding high off the release of his first post-prison album, CHAMPIONSHIPS, Meek Mill has been mending a lot of his messier relationships recently. He's already patched things up with Drake, with the two reuniting on the new record, but over the weekend he made it clear that he was over his beef with the Game, too.
During a Q&A session on Twitter, the Philly rapper was asked if he and Game would ever considering working together again, to which he responded, "Yea why not!!!" The two previously had a back and forth in 2016, but that's all in the past now because now Game has also said that he wants to bury the hatchet.
Posting on his Instagram, Game wrote, "Had a beef wit a n***a that could've ended in bloodshed either way. We had difference but when it all boiled down, we were once friends in & out of music. As young African American men we grew in similar situations where a lifespan for us was 21 years of age & that is still the age in which most of us coming from where we come from think we'll never make it to."
He says that after Meek was finally freed from prison earlier this year, the two talked about what's on the horizon for them both. "He called me & we talked for an hour," he wrote. "Not about the beef but about new beginnings [...] I never wished jail on you & I was genuinely happy when you got released. I said it over the phone & I'll say it again... 'Welcome Home' n***a..."
