Future Joins Stefflon Don on New Song "What You Want"

"We did a Europe tour and the last date was London and then we hit the studio," the U.K. rapper tells Zane Lowe of linking up with Future for her new track.

U.K. rapper Stefflon Don teased her new project Secure with the intense "Lil Bitch," and now she's back with another banger to whet our appetites for the forthcoming release. After sharing the Lil Kim-inspired cover art for Secure, she kicked the hype into another gear, but with the release of the Future-assisted "What You Want" she's made it clear just how promising the tape really sounds.

Speaking with Zane Lowe about how the song came together, she explained, "Well last year I actually went on tour with him. We did a Europe tour and the last date was London and then we hit the studio." She said that while there was a record she wanted him on initially, it didn't quite come together until she retooled it to really fit Future's sound. "There's a record that I wanted him on, played it, he liked it but he wasn't really like 'this is the shit,' it wasn’t really like that."

Future headed off to grab food, and when he came back to the studio and heard a completely different beat more suited to his tastes, it all started to make sense. “'That’s the shit I’m talking about!' All his friends are like, 'yo this is smashing.' I’m like 'oh my god. Yes, yes, yes,'" she told Lowe.
