Actress and model Kim Porter, who was a longtime girlfriend of Diddy, was found dead in her Los Angeles-area home on Nov. 15 at the age of 47. Sources told TMZ that Porter had been experiencing "flu-like symptoms" for the past several weeks and went into cardiac arrest. Following the news of her death, there was an outpouring of condolences on social media. Three days later, Diddy made his first public comments on her death.
"For the last three days I've been trying to wake up out of this nightmare," Diddy wrote on Instagram. "But I haven't. I don't know what I'm going to do without you baby. I miss you so much. Today I'm going to pay tribute to you. I'm going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship. We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE ON SOME OTHER SHITT!! And I miss you so much."
It's clear that Diddy has been hit hard by the news. The couple had an off-again on-again relationship from 1994 until around 2007.
