Daylyt Shares Photo of Capital Steez Amid Joey Badass Beef

It's unclear if the picture of Steez was intended to be a response to Joey's recent diss.

Amid his ongoing beef with Joey Badass, battle rapper Daylyt shared and quickly deleted a photo of the late Pro Era rapper Capital Steez.

In the since-deleted post, which featured no caption, Daylyt shared a picture of Steez, who died by suicide at the age of 19 in 2012.

The rapper was a childhood friend and frequent collaborator of Joey Badass, who has repeatedly paid tribute to him in his music. The post is still currently up on Facebook and also features a photo of what looks to be a tattoo of Steez, as well as two tattoos that appear to show Nipsey Hussle and XXXTentacion.

Daylyt has been involved in a beef with Joey Badass since at least the start of the year, but the tone of the back-and-forth was mostly friendly competition. Joey appeared to diss the West Coast rap scene in January with "The Ruler's Back," which prompted a response from both Daylyt and Ray Vaughn.

It all kicked into overdrive when Joey Badass and Ab-Soul had a lyrical sparring session about the beef with Vaughn in Red Bull's 1250's Spiral Freestyle series.

"I ain't gotta lose no sleep to break Daylyt / Shouldn't give you n***as time of day / But fuck it, shine a light on 'em, I'mma light Ray," Joey rapped in the freestyle. "Now how can I say this all in a nice way? / If you need the attention, tell Top he gotta pay / Look, I said what's a lil' pup to a K9, it's game time."

Daylyt has yet to directly respond to the freestyle, which was met with enthusiasm from fans, but Ray Vaughn replied with a song titled "Hoe Era."
