It was reported that Brooklyn rapper Casanova was wanted by the NYPD last week after a woman accused him of physically assaulting her. The incident reportedly took place in Manhattan's Good Stuff Diner. Niya Rucker, the woman involved in the alleged incident, suffered a broken jaw, loose tooth, and had to receive stitches on her chin. Casanova denied the claims, but now TMZ reports he's surrendered himself to the NYPD.

Law enforcement sources said Casanova handed himself in on Wednesday morning, later confirming that he's been charged with felony second-degree robbery. Rucker says she pulled out her phone to record herself with her meal on Instagram Live, when Casanova and his crew allegedly attacked her.

Rucker says Casanova's crew attacked her, putting her in a chokehold and dragging her out of her booth until she was unconscious. She explained that they took her phone and deleted the post off her Live, leaving her with only a video of her injuries after the alleged assault.

After the NYPD put out a warrant for his arrest, he posted on Twitter, "If you scared to go to jail don't become famous."

Following the initial reports, Casanova's lawyer released a statement denying the accusation. "Casanova adamantly denies the allegation that he assault anyone. Any contention he did so is totally false. We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into these false allegations."
