Billie Eilish was among several artists selected to perform at the 2024 Paris Olympics closing ceremony as part of the handover for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

Eilish was chosen alongside Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, H.E.R., and Red Hot Chilli Peppers to represent the handover to Los Angeles in June and July 2028. Some of the performances from the artists were pre-taped, while others were live performances recorded in Los Angeles or Paris. The proceedings kicked off with H.E.R. delivering a performance of the U.S. national anthem.

After a brief interlude starring Tom Cruise, who took the opportunity to perform another death-defying stunt, Eilish and her brother Finneas delivered a performance of "Birds of a Feather" in Los Angeles.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers, meanwhile, took to the stage for their hit 2002 single "Can't Stop."

Snoop Dogg, who has served as an Olympics correspondent for NBC during the games, also showed up with "Drop It Like It's Hot." After that, Dr. Dre joined him onstage for "The Next Episode."

On the French side of the ceremony, there were also some strong performances from the likes of indie rock group Phoenix, who performed "Lisztomania" and "1901," and Kavinsky, who performed his song "Nightcall" with Angelè van Laeken.

The LA28 handover ceremony was directed by Ben Winston, who said he hoped it would "showcase the heartbeat of LA."
