Back in October it was reported that controversial Brooklyn rapper 6ix9ine bailed on a concert at the last minute, costing promoters about $300,000 in refunds to over 3,000 people. The DUMMY BOY artist was scheduled to play during Howard University's Homecoming weekend, but he decided to not show up just 35 minutes before doors opened at the venue in Washington, D.C., forcing the promoters to turn away everyone already in line. Now 6ix9ine's litany of legal issues is looking to get worse, as TMZ reports the promoters behind the show are now threatening to take legal action.

Hits Before Fame & DMV Events are reportedly sending multiple threats of a lawsuit to 6ix9ine's team, claiming they're owed $500,000 in damages after he failed to turn up to the show. What's worse is that the rapper turned up at another show in New Jersey on the same night. The promoters for the Howard gig said they paid 6ix9ine $58,470 to play the show, so they're seeking that, the loss of the ticket sales, and all the rental and marketing expenses.

TMZ's sources say that 6ix9ine reportedly intends to sort the matter as soon as he can, but considering he's currently behind bars on federal racketeering and firearms charges, it could be some time before he gets around to that. He did, however, just score a No. 2 album with his debut DUMMY BOY, which moved 66,000 equivalent album units.
