It Sounds Like 6ix9ine Is Already Starting to Plan New Music for Post-Prison Comeback

6ix9ine is facing the possibility of 47 years behind bars for his crimes, but that hasn't stopped him from planning his post-prison comeback. Ahead of his sentencing in December, the controversial rapper has reportedly started to scheme up new music from behind bars with plans to jump in the studio as soon as he's released.

"It looks like he will be making music right away when he comes home," an anonymous music industry source told Page Six. "He already contacted a young NYC producer, and someone purchased two beats for him."

It's unclear if 6ix9ine has been writing music while incarcerated, but last month a report indicated he was confident he'll be more popular than ever once he's released.

6ix9ine's sentencing date was originally set for Jan. 24, 2020, but it was brought forward earlier this week following a request from his legal team. "He's ready for the next stage," the rapper's attorney Lance Lazzaro told Complex. It is believed that 6ix9ine will receive a shortened sentence due to his cooperation with authorities, although he has faced accusations of being a "snitch" for testifying against fellow Nine Trey Blood gang members.

If he is released sometime in early 2020, 6ix9ine might have some difficulty booking music venues. He confirmed he wants to continue his career in music instead of entering the witness protection program, and as venues have explained to Complex that it could be too risky to book him due to the possibility of violence. "Even before Tekashi 6ix9ine had problems, he really had limited access to most venues,” a spokesperson for NYC's S.O.B.'s explained. “There was always fear that trouble brewed when associated with him. I’m not saying he didn’t have access, but I’m saying it was limited way before any of this.”
